A.J. – June is the month for local strawberries and the selection at this weeks’ Union Square Market were numerous. There were strawberries of every size. I chose the smallest ones I could find. They were firm, deep red in color and their tops were green and leafy, the sign of a just-picked berry. They had the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness and were dripping with juices…the perfect choice for our recipe this week.
